We're alive! I promise! :)

And we think we may have figured that old poem out...
First comes love...

One of the first times talking to Stephen on the phone after he got back from his mission and we were still a state apart (hiding in the kitchen from the cameras trying to capture the huge grin I couldn't get off my face when I realized it was him calling)

May 19, 2007
The night Stephen asked me to be his girlfriend
(in a very bashful, sweet, stammering sort of a way). :)

Oh my!

Then comes marriage...

Wedding dress shopping:
"Momma, I think this is the one!!"

December 27, 2007

Trick to avoid getting it all over your face:

have a really big mouth and open it wide!! ;)

Then comes...

...A BABY!!!

Due Date: June 24, 2009

I am SO SORRY for my long absence here (I didn't mean for that Christmas in September post to last through the whole season), but my goodness, "morning" sickness needs to be renamed! :) Let's try "all day, all night, unrelenting, good luck getting out of bed, but it's all so worth it" sickness. :) The last few months have been so very hard, so full of blessings, and I just don't even know how to begin to describe how grateful I am for my dear, sweet husband! I think often times when a couple gets married, they've made sure to take the time and effort to really get to know one another enough to make sure that eternity together would be a good idea. :) However, there are still quite a few situations in life in which you don't get a preview first of how the other will handle it. I would just like to proclaim that Stephen has surpassed anything I could have hoped for. I had an inkling, but I don't think I realized what a selfless, hard-working, patient, loving man I was getting. I have learned so much from him through all of this, and an eternity with him has become an even more thrilling and humbling thought! Sorry to gush a little, but I just love him. :)

SO, from now on, you should be seeing a little more action on this blog (one of the many New Year's resolutions)! I also might need to post a little picture synopsis of the last...oh...four months. :) Thank you all for your love and support! We have no idea how everything is going to work out, but we are just thrilled and so excited to see what the future holds! Updates coming soon! :)

Congratulations to you two! Babies are sooo fun.
I'm always sick too. It's horrible. I feel for you! But, you won't even remember how sick you were once the baby is born!!! (I know, that doesn't help NOW, but it's true.)

Holly dearest-how you've made my day! I was just talking to Aimee, and she asked how you were doing and if I'd seen you lately. I said that my well was running dry, so of course I'd love to see you! And you found my text books-that makes me happy too! I hope they're the family ones...
So yes, let's plan a play date.

Hooray for little Johnson babies! Your description didn't even hint at how sick you really were, Holly. I'm so glad you're doing so much better now. It's a little bit crazy that I have to drive 11 hours to see you when we only live 20 minutes apart. We need a GNO!!!

Congrats again you guys! For some reason I was always surprised when our big decisions, children, buying a house etc. have to be huge leaps of faith. I used to think of them as well prepared and thought out moves. That is a misconception of the modern world I have decided. Make your decisions by the spirit, whether they make sense to the world or not. The Lord will bless you for doing the right thing. That's all we need to know.

Congrats! I am SO VERy excited for you! Being a mother is the greatest blessing/joy in the world. I thought I knew what love was, (and I did for that time) and then I had a child and realized a whole new level of love. I don't know if that really makes sense, all I know is words can not describe the feelings or the love you have of your children. I love my girls and I know you will be a wonderful mother. I am sorry your not feeling well bt you are right it is so worth every minute of it. I wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy! Congrats!
